High in the foothills of the mighty Rwenzori Mountains, in the village of Maliba, grows one of the most exciting coffees we’ve processed at our Lunar Coffee station. Here, surrounded by mist, steep hills and lush greenery, coffee grows at high altitude under ideal conditions.

This micro lot was carefully handpicked and naturally processed, allowing the coffee to dry inside its fruit on raised beds. The result is a sweet and expressive cup with notes of rosehip, blueberry and caramel.

But this coffee is about more than what’s in the cup. It’s the result of close collaboration between our team at Lunar Coffee and the farmers we work with. Through our Scout Program, we share knowledge, provide continuous feedback and work together to keep improving quality, harvest after harvest.
